My name is Adrianne Munroe. I’m an empathy-led creative, community advocate, and poet with an inner child named Hope. My purpose within everything I do is to create an intentional impact in a way where I feed the soul, nurture the mind, and heal the hearts of others.

I’m based in New York, but would love nothing more than to be back at my grandma Lily’s house in my second home, Jamaica.

Adrianne’s devotion to advocacy and supporting others caters to her joy of creating safe spaces that ensure people can express themselves, share their thoughts, and have their voices recognized, validated, and honored. Adrianne's connection to the necessity of community has consistently molded her professional journey. She aims to support organizations and brands in conveying the soul embedded in their missions. Her love for cultivating ideas and fostering collaboration enables her to bring meaningful projects and initiatives to fruition, making a lasting impact on the communities she serves. At the center of her work is a foundation of empathy, actively prioritizing connection and humanity.

Beyond her professional path, Adrianne embraces another avenue for her dedication through her first love of poetry. Her unwavering commitment is to celebrate and uplift the rich narratives of the communities surrounding her. Radiating light on untold stories and underrepresented voices speaks to her passion for educating. Stories are the lifeline of our humanity, nurturing seeds of soul, culture, and tradition. Her art explores the nature of what it means to be an unapologetic Black woman. Breathing life into her experiences with mental health, abuse, grief, faith, self-worth, identity, healing, and surrounding freedom make up the fabric of her poetry. Harnessing these experiences allows her the space to advocate for the sacred narratives of other Black women who forever deserve the utmost abundance of love, to be heard, and respected. This is the intention continuously blooming within her heart.

As Adrianne shares her story, she aspires to give others the hope to do the same. Hope is the name of her inner child. Adrianne's hope is in no way perfect. It is the type of childlike hope that likes to play hide and seek in the face of growing struggle. When found, it is the one thing that keeps her grounded and reminds her that she is simply healing. Hope evokes a constant reassurance that she is okay. If her younger self, who had two missing front teeth with bobo's and beads in her dense natural hair, could see her today, she would be immensely proud.

“Feed the Soul. Nurture the Mind. Heal the Heart.”

—Adrianne Munroe

Rooted in mental health and wellness, feeding the soul serves as a reminder that internally speaking life into yourself is vital in allowing your soul to flourish. Rooted in advocacy, nurturing the mind recognizes that everything you do connects to your inner child. Rooted in healing, healing the heart breathes life into the truth that our worth and value in this life do not equate to our traumas and struggles. Our traumas shape and mold who we are, but they are not all we are. Healing is a lifelong journey; it is not cookie-cutter or tailored the same way for every person. It is the ability to provide ourselves with patience and compassion, as it is what we deserve.

Today, Adrianne continues to look forward to stepping into atmospheres where growth and creativity are a priority. She is currently blossoming into a career grounded in storytelling, community, and advocacy while working toward publishing her second poetry book.
